WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY POLICY

Picasso Painting LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides this Workmanship Warranty Policy to define the terms and limitations of warranty coverage for painting and coating services performed in the State of New Jersey.

1. WARRANTY COVERAGE

Picasso Painting LLC warrants that all labor and workmanship provided will be performed in a professional and workmanlike manner, consistent with generally accepted industry standards.

This warranty applies only to workmanship, not to materials or products manufactured by third parties.

2. WARRANTY PERIOD

Unless otherwise stated in writing, the workmanship warranty period is:

  • Residential Projects: Up to 1 year from the date of substantial completion

  • Commercial Projects: Up to 1 year from the date of substantial completion

The warranty period begins on the date the project is deemed substantially complete.

3. WHAT IS COVERED

This warranty covers workmanship related defects directly caused by improper application, including:

  • Peeling paint caused by improper surface preparation

  • Blistering due to incorrect application techniques

  • Premature coating failure directly related to labor

Covered issues will be evaluated at the sole discretion of Picasso Painting LLC.

4. WHAT IS NOT COVERED

This warranty does not cover issues caused by:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Moisture intrusion, leaks, humidity, or water damage

  • Mold, mildew, or efflorescence

  • Structural movement, settling, or cracks

  • Wood expansion, contraction, or rot

  • Inferior or failing previous coatings

  • Acts of God (storms, flooding, fire, extreme weather)

  • Abuse, neglect, or improper maintenance

  • Color fading due to UV exposure

  • Touch-up mismatch due to aging or environmental conditions

  • Work performed or altered by others

5. MATERIALS & MANUFACTURER WARRANTIES

Paints, primers, epoxies, and coatings are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty only.

Picasso Painting LLC does not provide warranties on:

  • Paint products

  • Coating materials

  • Manufacturer performance claims

Any manufacturer warranty claims must be pursued directly with the product manufacturer.

6. EPOXY FLOOR COATINGS (SPECIAL CONDITIONS)

Due to the nature of concrete substrates, epoxy floor coatings are not warranted against:

  • Hot tire pickup

  • Moisture vapor transmission

  • Cracking due to slab movement

  • Concrete delamination

  • Hairline cracks telegraphing through the coating

Moisture testing and surface preparation reduce risk but do not eliminate these conditions.

7. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

This warranty is valid only if the Client:

  • Pays the contract balance in full

  • Maintains surfaces properly

  • Prevents moisture intrusion or leaks

  • Allows reasonable access for inspection or repair

Failure to meet these conditions voids the warranty.

8. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE

To file a warranty claim:

  1. Submit written notice within the warranty period

  2. Include photos and a description of the issue

  3. Allow Picasso Painting LLC reasonable access to inspect

If a valid workmanship defect is confirmed, Picasso Painting LLC will, at its option:

  • Repair the affected area, or

  • Reapply the coating to the defective portion only

9. LIMITATION OF REMEDY

The Client’s sole remedy under this warranty is repair or replacement of defective workmanship.

Picasso Painting LLC shall not be liable for:

  • Consequential or incidental damages

  • Loss of use

  • Property damage beyond the affected work area

10. TRANSFERABILITY

This workmanship warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original Client and property location.

11. WARRANTY VOID CONDITIONS

This warranty is void if:

  • Payment is incomplete

  • Surfaces are altered by others

  • Repairs are attempted without written approval

  • Environmental conditions cause failure

  • The Client fails to provide access

12. GOVERNING LAW

This Workmanship Warranty Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.

13. ENTIRE WARRANTY

This document represents the entire workmanship warranty offered by Picasso Painting LLC and supersedes all verbal or implied warranties.

No employee, representative, or subcontractor may modify this warranty unless approved in writing by Picasso Painting LLC.
